In 2000 our very first miniature horses showed up on the farm after seeing them on a miniature chuck wagon at the Calgary Stampede. By the year 2002 we had a small herd of mares, foals, and 2 complete miniature chuckwagon outfits. We could never imagine these 'little' horses having such an emotional hold on us, especially after having nothing under 15 HH all our lives. It was a new experience that started us on a new path in our busy horse lives.
Double Tree Farms was established in 2007 at Carstairs, AB. In the summer of 2008, after our family grew by 2 sons-in-law, a grand-daughter and a 'baby bump' on the way, we relocated our farm just south of Vulcan, AB.
For the past 11 years we have raced chuckwagons all over the province of Alberta and into B.C. Now entering 2012 we run 5 racing teams and are gearing up for another show year.
